For over 30 years Dallas Wolbaum has been entertaining rooms large and small all over Western Canada. Originally from Drayton Valley, he picked up the guitar while at 17 yrs old and never looked back. His formed his first band called the “rez guys” in the early 90’s while attending the University of Lethbridge. Soon after that he helped form “Bedside Manners” with Jason Valleau (Polyjesters) who became the U of L house band which on occasion still performs today. After graduation he joined forces with Johnny McCuaig (Arcana Kings) and hit the road playing Canada’s hottest venues such as Slave Lake and Flin Flon, Manitoba.

After briefly trying out the real world, Dallas went all in on the then very popular 1 man pub show. Using his musical and vocal skills combined with his comedic chops, it was an immediate success. The early 2000’s would find him playing over 200 shows per year doing private events, corporate, as well as public houses such as Sherlock Holmes and Ceilis Irish Pub.

He has shared many stages over the years with a vast spectrum of artists such as Kim Mitchell, April Wine, Pursuit of Happiness, Ashley MacIsaac, Ridley Bent, 3 Dog Night, The Drifters, Gary US Bonds, Trooper and BCDC to name a few.

Dallas and his wife Candace moved to Nelson BC in 2002 and enjoy a rural life with him eventually owning the local Dairy Queen and her becoming a bank Manager. They have 2 sons who love hockey and music much like their parents.
